What are Acute cases?
Acute cases are NOT life-threatening and therefore not emergencies, but do require a visit to the vet. These include severe diarrhoea or repeated vomiting, significant lameness, minor bleeding (e.g. claw injuries), reduced general condition, etc.
Keep calm. Assess the situation. Call the vet.

Heavy or uncontrollable bleeding
Very pale/pale mucous membranes during pressure testing
Seizures, shortness of breath
Problems urinating
persistent, bloody diarrhoea bloody vomiting, increasing weakness
Sudden paralysis of the legs
Eye injuries
Acute deterioration of the general condition due to swallowed foreign bodies
Poisoning, scalds, burns, heat stroke
