  • What are Acute cases?

    Acute cases are NOT life-threatening and therefore not emergencies, but do require a visit to the vet. These include severe diarrhoea or repeated vomiting, significant lameness, minor bleeding (e.g. claw injuries), reduced general condition, etc.

    A tick, a slight limp, expired vaccinations, missing dog or cat food, etc.

    Please wait with these problems until the regular opening of your vet.

  • What is an emergency?

Emergencies are life-threatening situations such as

  • Loss of consciousness, collapse

  • Serious road accident

  • Window falls from cats

  • Heavy or uncontrollable bleeding

  • Very pale/pale mucous membranes during pressure testing

  • Seizures, shortness of breath

  • Problems urinating

  • persistent, bloody diarrhoea bloody vomiting, increasing weakness

  • Sudden paralysis of the legs

  • Eye injuries

  • Acute deterioration of the general condition due to swallowed foreign bodies

  • Poisoning, scalds, burns, heat stroke
